Hight part of canyon du Diable in the gorges of Herault

Description Canyoning : Canyon du Diable - Partie haute

Our most fun outing! If you are looking for the big jump, it's here!

The whole point of this trip is that each participant may follow according to his capacity. Indeed, there are no obstacles in the progression, and those who want to be carried away along the stream enjoying the water can totally have fun and encourage others. And for those who want more excitement, this descent is the one that offers the greatest number of jumps (about a dozen, from 1m to 10m).

In addition, a yodel-splash, an abseil, and a few other surprises are planned along the way.

This is not the wildest trip, because the road is pretty close. But this narrow part of the Hérault promises a strange environment, where the carved gorge and vegetable banks plunge us in an unusual environment.

This descent is a true initiation to the canyon for those wanting to experience without the technical aspect of the activity, but also a fabulous fun aquatic course: Even diligent Canyon practitioners are playing in this descent, because that is exactly what that is sought by this descent, have fun in the water, jump and play in the bubbles, without worrying about the water flow in dry periods: the canyon of the devil being the narrowest part of the gorge Hérault, the water level is always constant.

Pretty close to Montpellier and the beaches of the coast by the motorway A75 free, you will be able to combine this trip with tours of the village of Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert, Devil's Bridge, Saint-Jean-de -Fos and its potters, or provide a getaway on Lake Salagou.

Test this descent, you'll love it!

Canyoning in general

Canyoning is a leisure sporting activity. Going down rivers, and overcoming obstacles it offers, one must be equipped with a wetsuit and sneakers. Jumping, sliding, diving, swimming, abseiling ... and musing over the meandering water courses are ingredients for an outing rich in excitements.

The courses we offer are the most uncharacteristic of Languedoc: through thousands of years, the waters of the torrents have gushed and dug into the rocks to form the rivers which became our playground: water slides, pools of blue water, jumps, stunts, and abseils!

The canyons, being more technical, the use of ropes is necessary, particularly while abseiling or diving in the majestic basins of limpid water.

But rest assured, the diversity of the canyons of the region allows us to offer you trips tailored to your desires: aquatic hikes in the meanders of Soucy, with the highest jumps of the Tapoul, passing through the beautiful landscapes of the canyons of the Caroux, as well as the “Albès” with its spirit of adventure or the Vialais and its stunning jumps.

Canyons offered are spread all over the department of “Hérault”: you will certainly find one that suits you, whether you live in Montpellier, at the seaside or Béziers.

As a family or between friends, canyoning will assure you a day of fun!
