General terms and conditions

Participation:

For all activities, we ask all participants to read and approve the conditions of security.

For canyoning, it is essential to know how to swim.

Any prior medical treatment must be declared at the time of registration.

For any minor (under 18) wishing to participate in the activity, parental consent will be required.

For reasons of security the monitors of the Agency Monitors Climbing Canyon of Hérault (OMEC) reserves the right to modify or cancel any sports program or activity.

Should you have had recent medical treatment, all activities chosen must be medically approved.

As part of our services, we may settle deposit funds with our partners on your behalf e.g. shuttles, meals, accommodation.

Registration procedures:

For all programs and activities, registrations may be completed on-site and reservations may be done by email.

The OMEC reserves the right to cancel reservations without compensation. In a group or for multiple registrations, the subscriber undertakes to inform all registered participants of the General conditions and the documentation of the course. Approval thereof is an obligation.

Groups wishing to reserve a guide solely for their activity will be charged the total price at the maximum capacity of the group for the activity concerned.

Groups of more than 10 participants will have to pay a 30% deposit at the time of their reservation at least 2 weeks prior to the date of the activity.

Cancellation:

Any cancellation by the customer must be communicated to the OMEC by registered mail at least 2 weeks prior to the activity. The deposit will then be refunded in full.

Should the cancellation be less than 2 weeks prior to the activity, the deposit will not be refunded.

Reservations for an activity are made between OMEC and the participants. A refund will be subject to a declaration by the participants of a change of the date and / or the number of participants at least 2 weeks prior to the date of the activity. Failing this, the participants will not be entitled to any refunds.

Cancellation conditions: the OMEC reserves the right to change the programs of sports activities for security reasons, floods and sporting skills of the participants or any event of “Force Majeure”. For these reasons, replacement courses may be reorganised without claims for any compensation.

If the OMEC is obliged to cancel the beginning of an activity for any reason whatsoever, the participants will be refunded in full. No other claim or compensation will be entertained.

Insurance:

Each instructor of the OMEC has an insurance covering civil liability within the framework of its own activities. Any information relating to the conditions of insurance can be provided on request. Each participant must have civil liability insurance, and it is recommended that each participant is to have “Personal Accident Insurance” prior to participating in any activity.

Theft  and degradation:

The OMEC accepts no liability for loss, theft or damage to personal property.
